Thanks to the staff here at Long Family Dental, we’re able to consistently deliver comfortable, effective oral healthcare to our patients. If you have a question or have particular needs that have to be met, one of our team members will be on hand right away to help you. If you’re visiting our dental office in Midlothian for the first time, then each of our team members is looking forward to getting to know you and all of your loved ones during future appointments.
Shelly, Registered Dental Assistant
Shelly’s career in the dental field started in 2011 after her graduation from Kaplan College in California, and she first joined Long Family Dental in January of 2018. She is certified in nitrous oxide, CPR, dental sealants, and coronal polishing. Today, she works diligently to ensure patients always feel relaxed and that their treatments go smoothly. She prides herself on doing her best to stay one step ahead of the dentists, delivering what they need before they even have to ask for it! Helping patients gain confidence in their smiles over time is her favorite part of the position.
Shelly and her husband have two little girls at home. Outside of work, her biggest priority is spending quality time with her family. She also enjoys exercising whenever she has the free time to do so.
Ashley, Dental Assistant
Ashley’s career in dentistry spans nearly 15 years so far. She attended ATI for her education and is trained in nitrous oxide monitoring and radiology. What she enjoys most about her job is helping others! She also loves working around other team members who are just as passionate about what they do. The family-friendly atmosphere at Long Family Dental is a great fit for her.
Outside of work, Ashley and her husband have two children. One of their biggest hobbies is going camping – they have an RV and regularly “get away” when they have the free time! An interesting fact about her: thanks to her stepdad, who was in the Air Force, she’s lived in Germany and four states in total throughout the course of her life.
Kaitlin, Registered Dental Assistant
Kaitlin’s career in the dental spans over a decade so far, and she first joined Long Family Dental in 2018. She earned her education from the VIP Dental Training Center in Flower Mount and is certified in CPR and nitrous oxide. Today, she loves being able to give patients the smile they’ve always wanted and helping them feel better than ever! She’s thrilled to work for such a team of wonderful professionals at such a warm, family-oriented practice.
Originally from North Richland Hills, Kaitlin is recently married and has a young daughter named Khloe, as well as a fur baby named Daray-Mae and a beta fish named Starla. Her biggest hobbies include horseback riding, being outdoors, shopping, and going to the beach. She actually grew up doing competitive cheer and can still tumble around quite a bit to this day!

Leanie, Hygiene Coordinator
Born and raised in South Africa, Leanie met her husband and had her two children in the country before ultimately relocating to the amazing state of Texas. She set up dental appointments at Long Family Dental of Cleburne and from the first day she met the staff, she knew that it was going to be her new adopted family – and low and behold, she was adopted by them too when she joined the team! Today, she loves meeting new patients daily and getting to work alongside such amazing people.
Outside of office hours, Leanie enjoys hanging out with her family and doing lots of adventurous things outdoors. She’s also a big fan of cooking, baking, and eating (of course).
